The International Traffic in Arms Regulations ("ITAR", 22 CFR 120-130) implements the 22 U.S.C. 2778 of the Arms Export Controls Act (“AECA”). ITAR regulates the import and export of arms, munitions, and other “defense articles” as defined on the ITAR U.S. Munitions List. Organizations doing business with the federal government may seek an assessment of their controls in place to ensure personnel management activities meet the requirements defined within ITAR.
“Schellman regularly performs assessments against the applicable controls for the International Trafficking of Arms Regulation (ITAR) and other types of export control requirements. Most often this is performed in concert with a SOC 2 and/or FedRAMP assessment.”
