Schellman Welcomes Sachin Bansal as Chief Operating Officer

Schellman, a leading provider of cybersecurity attestation and compliance services, announces that Sachin Bansal has joined the firm as Chief Operating Officer. Bansal leads global operations, global expansion, strategy, and transformation, partnering closely with Chief Executive Officer Avani Desai and the executive leadership team to support the firm’s next phase of growth.
Bansal succeeds Debbie Zaller, who is retiring after nearly two decades with Schellman. Over her tenure, Zaller helped build and scale several of the firm’s core practices and shaped the operational discipline Schellman is known for today, and she is supporting a smooth handoff.
Bansal brings nearly 20 years of leadership across technology, legal/compliance, and professional services. Before joining Schellman, he advised leading private equity firms on the cybersecurity sector. He was previously president of SecurityScorecard, a venture capital-backed cybersecurity business with investors including Google Ventures and Sequoia Capital, where he scaled the company by 6X and led it to cash-flow positivity. He created SecurityScorecard’s public sector business, achieved a FedRAMP authorization with Schellman as its auditor, led several acquisitions through integration, and launched its international operations. Earlier in his career, he practiced law for 12 years, including in-house, which gives him a deep grounding in the professional services model that defines Schellman.
