Course Summary

In this course, students will gain a comprehensive understanding of the history of SOC reporting and the SOC for Supply Chain report. The course will explain the SOC reporting framework and components of the SOC for Supply Chain reporting option. Additionally students can expect to learn the primary entities (organizations and individuals) involved in SOC for Supply Chain reporting, as well as the primary users of SOC for Supply Chain reports. Organizations that offer on-premise or off-the-shelf (non-hosted) versions of their software, can utilize this latest SOC reporting option to provide assurance to their customers. The class will also explain the most common factors and considerations for selecting the best SOC for Supply Chain reporting type. The course is designed to help students understand their specific action items for planning, executing, and fulfilling SOC for Supply Chain reporting requirements with an emphasis on using the report to manage software vendor risk.

This course is eligible for continuing professional education (CPE) hours: 4 hours

Professional Fees: $495 per student
Minimum Class Size: Five (5) students

Details

The SOC for Supply Chain course is provided through either an onsite or remote offering. While the curriculum is designed for remote presentation, the course involves student interaction. Illustrations and examples are part of the courseware.

This course is offered exclusively through Schellman’s LEAD instructors. Your instructor has years of relevant experience in the execution of all phases of SOC for Supply Chain reporting, including the planning, execution, and reporting phases. Students will have opportunities to ask questions directly to an assessor and subject matter expert in the field of SOC for Supply Chain reporting.

Additional Course Options

This course can be combined with the SOC 2 Comprehensive or SOC Reporting Bootcamp course to be delivered onsite, if preferred.

Course Materials

No prerequisites. Course materials will be presented by the instructor. CPE certificates to be issued within two (2) business days of event conclusion and satisfactory completion of student participation.

In this course, students will:

  • Identify the primary purpose and intended use of the SOC for Supply Chain report
  • Understand the primary similarities and differences of the SOC for Supply Chain compared to the other SOC reporting brands
  • Identify the components of the SOC for Supply Chain report
  • Understand the organization’s obligations in the SOC for Supply Chain examination process
  • Identify the major planning considerations for the SOC for Supply Chain report
  • Identify the necessary documents not included in the SOC for Supply Chain report
  • Identify the primary use cases for the SOC for Supply Chain report
  • Understand the common pitfalls in the SOC for Supply Chain reporting process
  • Understand the principal system objectives and their relevance in the SOC for Supply Chain reporting process
  • Understand the description criteria and the controls criteria
  • Identify the appropriate ways to market and communicate the completion of your SOC for Supply Chain examination (sales and marketing)
