In this course, students will gain an understanding of the history of SOC reporting and the intended purpose of those reports. The course will provide an overview of the SOC reporting framework and components of each SOC report option. Additionally students can expect to learn the primary entities (organizations and individuals) involved in SOC reporting, as well as the primary users of SOC reports. The class will also explain the most common factors and considerations for selecting the correct SOC reporting brand.

The SOC Fundamentals course is provided through a remote offering. While the curriculum is delivered remotely using presentation software, the course is designed for student interaction. Illustrations and examples are part of the courseware.
This course is offered exclusively through Schellman’s LEAD instructors. Your instructor has years of relevant experience in the execution of all phases of SOC reporting, including the planning, execution, and reporting phases. Students will have opportunities to ask questions directly to an assessor and subject matter expert in the field of SOC reporting.
This course is part of the SOC Reporting Boot Camp. Students can opt to have this subject matter address as part of the comprehensive (20 CPE) boot camp course.
No prerequisites. Course materials will be presented by the instructor. CPE certificates to be issued within two (2) business days of event conclusion and satisfactory completion of student participation.
