What is Trending
CMMC – Rulemaking Update
The long-awaited CMMC rule, officially published on October 15, marks a major milestone in the rollout of the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) program. The Title 32 rule, also known as 32 CFR Part 170, codifies the program by establishing key stakeholders, defining CMMC levels, and outlining requirements for self-assessments, third-party assessments, and phased implementation in DoD contracts. The second rule, Title 48, which governs how CMMC will be integrated into contracts, is still in proposed status. Organizations can begin certification as early as December 16, 2024, though CMMC requirements in DoD contracts will start only after Title 48 is finalized.
While CMMC requirements are pending Title 48 finalization, we encourage you to be an early adopter. Discover more about CMMC
